Choosing an electric motor for a plunger pump
The current category contains electric motors, including Nicolini models. Motor power alone does not establish compatibility with a pump. Rotational speed, shaft execution, mounting dimensions and electrical supply must also match the intended assembly.
Check the mechanical and electrical configuration
- Required output power and speed at the intended pump operating point.
- Voltage, frequency and single- or three-phase supply.
- Shaft or hollow-shaft dimensions, flange and mounting arrangement.
- Duty rating, protection and installation conditions stated for the selected motor.
Use the motor and pump drawings to confirm the complete assembly. A mounting designation or similar appearance is not sufficient to establish an interchangeable replacement.
