Start with the cleaning duty, required reach and available mounting space. A reel must accommodate the selected hose’s outside diameter and length, while its fluid connection and swivel must meet the operating conditions.

- Cleaning hoses: compare bore, length, materials, end fittings and the exact product’s pressure and temperature limits.
- Hose reels and accessories: compare capacity, rewind method, mounting and supplied equipment.
- Couplings and swivels: match the connection layout, threads and operating limits.
Confirm whether a reel is supplied with a hose or as a separate unit. Do not assume that a hose suitable for water is also suitable for every chemical, temperature or cleaning process.
For a replacement, provide the hose dimensions and connections, working pressure, water temperature and the current reel model or installation measurements.
