Choosing a straight swivel joint
A straight swivel keeps the inlet and outlet in line while allowing the connected parts to rotate. In car wash installations, this can help the hose follow movement at the connection. Before replacing a joint, compare the existing fitting with the dimensions and technical data of the selected model.
Match the threads and operating conditions
- Connection type: check both ends separately, including thread size and whether each connection is male or female. G1/4, G3/8 and M18 × 1.5 options are available on selected models; they are not interchangeable.
- Working pressure: choose a swivel with a rating suitable for your system. Easywash and the listed Mosmatic DGS and DGV models are rated to 275 bar; the MTM Hydro model is rated to 250 bar.
- Temperature and flow: the listed straight swivels are rated to 120°C. The MTM Hydro model has a specified flow rate of 40 l/min. Check the individual product details for the complete limits.
Compare the available designs
Mosmatic DGS uses a double bearing system, while Mosmatic DGV is an economy design with a single bearing system. The DGV model listed here has a G1/4 female inlet and G3/8 male outlet. Easywash and MTM Hydro offer several thread combinations, allowing you to match the swivel to the hose and equipment connection.
