Selecting a low-pressure supply or transfer pump
Start with the duty of the pump: supplying an installation, transferring water or maintaining the required inlet conditions. A rotary vane pump and a multistage pump are different designs and should not be treated as interchangeable. Check the exact product and its drive requirements before ordering.
What to check before ordering
- Required flow and delivery pressure at the actual operating point.
- Liquid compatibility, operating temperature and available inlet conditions.
- Electrical supply or separate drive requirements, depending on the model.
- Port sizes, installation space and the manufacturer’s priming instructions.
